RSVP as soon as you can. I will be away from home, but still computer-connected from Monday a.m. until Wednesday about noon. Mom is having her second cataract surgery on Tuesday!

TAG Card design

I will be attending the Texas Angel Gathering in San Antonio on November 7 - 8. Our project this time is a "shoebox" kit. Each Angel attending the event, designs a card and supplies the paper and embellishments in a kit. I finished my card the other night! I am amazed at my creative output this week since I have DEADLINES! At the moment the deadline is Nov. 12 (when we leave for Denver for a week) but I believe I will have some of my post Denver stuff done before I go! (Since my first deadline after returning on Nov 19 is on Nov 21, I guess I just better stay geared up!)

Here is the card I "created" for TAG - it's hard to tell from the picture, but it is the z-fold card like we made in May at TECH. I just changed the shape of the front art!

In my production frenzy, I have completed all of the projects for November TECH, and have started putting pieces together for December! AMAZING!
Be sure to RSVP for November TECH Squad on Nov 5 at 2:00 or 5:30 pm so that I will have an accurate count! Thanks!

Butterfly Project

One of my customers sent a link to The Butterfly Project at the Holocaust Museum of Houston, thinking it might be something that I would want to partcipate in - and she's right! I will definitely be adding a piece of artwork in an effort to help them have 1.5 million butterflies for their exhibit in 2012! Check it out, and participate if you can!

Fabulous weekend

I just "returned" from a fabulous weekend Retreat with the HOTS Club. (It's hard to say returned, because I spent my nights at home!) As always, it was a well-planned, well-executed event. Our routine is in place - we follow what has worked before, and everyone has a great time!
I was able to finish two projects - a butterfly calendar for a prop swap gift exchange at Texas Angel Gathering on November 7 (you will get a chance to see than one at the next TECH Squad) and a Lighthouse calendar as a birthday gift for a friend. The Butterfly calendar was entered in the art show, and came really close to winning a prize! Will post a picture when I have uploaded them to the computer (The cameras are still packed and sitting just inside the front door - today I must put all that stuff away!)
I was glad to see that the Hilton Garden Inn (where the Retreat is held) now has FREE WI-FI so I was able to keep up with e-mail, etc. Didn't get much digital scrapping done, but I was able to show some of my projects to friends. There was actually another table of 4 where 3 of 4 worked digitally for the weekend! Hopefully by the next Retreat, I will have plans in place so that my entry in the ART SHOW will be created digitally/shown digitally! That's my goal by March 6 - 8! New PINK Bind It all

The manufacturers have now redesigned the Bind It All tool to have a PINK body style. The tool looks and works exactly the same, yet has a couple of new features. The new design is able to punch through thickers material, and has an extension on the paper guide bar and plate. It is now a soft PINK instead of the original turquoise blue. The packaging that the product will arrive in is also slightly different. The new color helps to distinguish the newer version of the Bind It All from the older versions. The new Bind It All pricing will be $80.95. The Angel Company will no longer carry the older version blue Bind It All, effective immediately!

Don't forget the Holiday Bazaar this weekend at the Killeen Civic Center. If you place an order of $30 or more, you will receive a LEVEL A hostess set of your choice, and 2 GWP stamps! And we'll do a cute make - n - take too! Just in time for "spooky" gift giving!

Change of Schedule for October TECH Squad

My mom is finally going to have her cataract surgery on October 14 (for one eye), but that means I will be with her at the Doctor on Wednesday, October 8 which was supposed to be TECH Squad day. I have rescheduled TECH Squad for October 15 at 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (I need a little extra time on the 15th since I will spend the night at mom's on the 14th so TECH will be a 2:00 p.m.) "Home Paper Bag book" will be on Octboer 22 at 5:30 p.m. only! "Abundance Book" will remain on October 29 at 5:30 p.m. only. November TECH will be on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 2:00 and 5:30 p.m. so that I can go to Denver the next week!'
Please RSVP as we normally do so that I can be prepared. I especially need to know if you want to do the "Home Paper Bag Book" - it takes a little longer to prep!
