Class - Oct 12, 5:30 p.m. Wendaful Scrapbooks in Temple

I know many of you have seen this Fall Banner in progress. I added some beads to the bottom to give it a little "weight" to hold it in place, and it is now ready to be delivered to Wendaful Scrapbooks in Temple where it will be a class project for Friday, October 12 at 5:30 p.m. Fee is $12. Call the store 254-899-2767 to sign up for the class! I purposefully left the back side uncovered until class day, so that participants can see what the back side looks like. Paper is decopaged to four square coasters. "F-A-L-L" letters are added to each coaster, along with a beautiful fall colored leaf and daisy! And it's all hung on some beautiful silk knitting ribbon! All that participants will provide for the project is redline tape or very strong adhesive to hold the cardstock back covers in place. Bring your scissors as well in order to "round the corners" of the paper after adhering it to the coaster. I haven't found any corner rounder with the same angle as the coaster, so we have to do it by hand
with scissors and then smooth the corners with emory board. I think it will make a neat home dec product for the Fall season (my favorite time of year - I really like October!)

A CROP IN COPPERAS COVE

I have been invited to be a vendor at a crop at Copperas Cove High School on Saturday, October 6. I have details for the event. If you are interested in getting tickets for the event, e-mail poki (poki04@aol.com) and I can send you the information about how to register for the event. (I have them - they are just still packed from my Retreat weekend!) The crop benefits Project Graduation for CCHS and the DramaDawgs (booster club)

HOTS Club Retreat was wonderful!

After may years of being totally immersed in the production of retreats for the Heart of Texas Scrapbook Club, it was great to be able to actually feel like a PARTICIPANT at this event! Of course, in my position as Historian, I had to take lots of photos of the event! But, other than photography, and helping Debra with the Art Show on Sunday morning, I was free to actually work on projects! I even took a class - first time ever - from a very talented designer from Austin. Her name is Jennifer Stewart. You may have come across her name in connection with Scrapbook Crossing in Round Rock (or is it Cedar Park?) or Crop, Paper, Scissors in Waco, as I know she teaches in both of those locations! I was pleased with the beautiful FALL photo display board we created, and have asked Mike to be sure we get a complete family portrait under the Chinese Tallow tree in Mom's yard at Thanksgiving time. (It actually should have some fall color - bright red - unless a windy November takes all the leaves away early!)
My digital scrapbooks got 20 or more new pages completed in them! I'm actually on Day 4 of the vacation (out of 14)

Order arrived!

Our order has arrived! With the HOTS Club Retreat weekend starting tomorrow, I won't be making an attempt to deliver until next week. Be looking for me, or at least your products (since I arranged to drop a couple off at your place of work!) I plan to work on my vacation album this weekend - I actually have pages and pictures printed through DAY 3 - in New York!
