Are you working on embellishing your pizza box?

My "celebrity artists" are ready and waiting to judge our pizza box embellishment! I am working on mine today - (had to stop and go find directions for loading my ATG so that I could put it together!) - I'm about to go back to finish the project. Mine will be shown, but will not be in the challenge competition! You will like the prize I have selected! Don't forget to do it and bring it to TECH Squad on Wednesday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.

Are you working on your challenge? - to embellish the little pizza box we made at TECH. I really just want to see your creativity at work, since you see mine all the time! The prize is just a little ADDED incentive! Be sure to have it ready by April TECH day - April 8!

Clear shoe bag for storage

Many of you envied my clear shoe bag which I use for display of my Marvy Clever Lever punches. It really works well for me - I can see them, but they are conveniently stored! If you would like one too - I found a similar one (only ONE) at the ROSS store in Killeen yesterday for $7. Is it waiting there for you?

TECH was fun!

What a challenging week I have had - from a weekend of running on hardly any sleep during the HOTS Club Spring Retreat (I could have done the "night owl" since I was up until 4:00 a.m or later both nights - at home - and back at the Hilton in Temple by 9:00 a.m.!) to a required luncheon meeting with Retired Teacher's on Monday (I'm the historian!) and two days of TECH Squad meetings! Thursday is a SLEEP IN DAY! (if I can make myself do it!)
I'm sorry if I worked you too hard on the TECH projects! It did take a little longer than our projects usually do, but the learning was great! I just love folded paper projects, and the scor-pal makes that so easy! I love hearing quotes like this "Im so glad that you are actually showing me how to use this tool that I bought! (Thanks, Debby!)
I will get better at posting projects! - not just running on about this and that! Goodnight! poki

WORDS TO KNOW - Blog comments challenge!

Blog Comments were left by Belinda P, Heather A (my "baby" Angels) and by Lynn C. Thanks, ladies, for your feedback! My blog counter has shown me that I have had 153 hits that are not mine! The number you see on the counter is larger, but that includes my visits to the blog too! All 3 of you can expect a SURPRISE coming soon!

Designer Challenge

Over the past few months I have really wanted to see what you, my customers, are doing creatively - and I have rarely gotten a glimpse , although you see my creations all the time. It's time to show me yours. One of the projects we are doing in my current TECH Squad is a "pizza" style box with a 3 1/2" square accordion book inside. Although I did use my favorite colors of cardstock (Tea leaves - sort of lime green, and North Sea or Pacific blue) along with the blue/green striped paper from our Pop Rockz Classic Soar with it Collection p. 72 V-827, the project is somewhat bare - and begging for embellishment!
Here's the challenge -
If you made the pizza box and album with me in March, please embellish with items of your choice and bring it back with you in April! Leave it with me to be photographed, and posted here on my blog for everyone to see! I will choose some "celebrity" artists (really friends of mine!) to choose the most creative and that talented designer will receive a SURPRISE package when I return your completed projects with your April delivery! I am looking forward to seeing the "next generation" of these cute little boxes and albums. It can be a learning experience for all of us - as most challenges we undertake are! Thanks, Cathie H, for this great idea!!! I hope you will want to participate.

2nd Annual Central Texas Walk-n-Roll

A good friend of mine, Debbie W from Round Rock, gave me a brochure over the weekend for the 2nd Annual Central Texas Walk-n-Roll sponsored by Texas Parent 2 Parent (a support group for parents) where Debbie works - http://www.txp2p.org and the OI Foundation http://www.oif.org/centraltxwalk09
When you go to the OI site you will see my friend Debbie's family in the middle picture - Debbie on the right, Erin (daughter) on left, and Daniel the miracle in the middle! You will also find everything you need to know about the event and making a pledge to assist them in their effort. If you can make a pledge to help them, please do!

I am a SURVIVOR

Once again, I have been to the RETREAT and had to come home to rest! The 10th annual Heart of Texas Scrapbook Club Spring Retreat was great from beginning to end! I saw so many "old" friends (no reference to age intended) and met some great new girls as well. Three of my table mates were brand new to a HOTS Club event! It was great to meet Nancy A, Nancy S, and Grace N. They are a fun bunch! And spending time with my friend Lizanne is always "enlightening" - you never know what new things you might learn about an "old" friend!
Although I would like to SLEEP for a couple of days - I was up til 4:00 a.m. both Friday and Saturday (what a mistake that was!) I have to hit the ground running today! My TECH for March has "expanded" into two days - I have RSVP's for Tuesday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. (2) 6:00 p.m. (7), Wed March 11 at 2:00 (3) and 5:30 (4) We'll have a great time with our Scor-pal. Bring it along, also adhesive and small scissors!
See you soon! I'll be here at home cutting more kits this afternoon, if you haven't RSVP'd and would like to join any of the time slots except Tues at 6 (that one is off-site)

I'm off for the weekend

I'll be leaving the house about 8:30 a.m. tomorrow to head into Temple for the Heart of Texas Scrapbook Club's Spring into Scrapping Retreat, Friday - Sunday. I will be home at night, but not for long! I have lots of projects lined up to do over the weekend - I hope I haven't planned more than I can do! I really would like to finish the wedding album for my friends Sandy & Mark! I'm also making kits for TECH Squad on Wednesday. Please RSVP if you plan to come but haven't let me know yet!

So far I have two comments ...

I checked on my Constant Comment info sheet - 8 of you clicked through from my e-mail to the blog - but only two of you left comments for me! I guess I will have to sweeten the pot to get more interaction going on. I have noticed a little more traffic on the blog - about 84 visits not including mine since I added the counter on Feb. 21. (I've been collecting data on a spreadsheet just to see if there really is traffic - or if I'm talking to myself!) If I end up with comments from only the two that I have so far, I guess I will have to give both of them some BLOG CANDY for taking the time to let me know they had been to my blog!
