My next class at I Scrapbook - January 29, 2008

THE DATE FOR THIS CLASS HAS CHANGED - poki needed more healing time on her hand! (The dog won!)

My next class will be on January 29 at I Scrapbook. Icela asked me to do a book with the Zutter Bind-It-All, so I created this address book. The book has five dividers (A-E, F- K, L - O, P - T, U - Z) and 100 total lined index cards - 20 per section. During class we will make the cover, and dividers, then use the Bind-It-All to bind it together. (Lined index card pages will be pre-punched to save us time during class, but poki will show you some techniques she has developed to make the Bind-It-All work well for her!) Finished book cover is 6 x 3 1/2" and has some great sunflower paper from The Paper Lady (poki just loves those FALL COLORS!) Call I Scrapbook to register for this class 254-501-2767.

Our order has arrived!

I was amazed on Friday, when I looked at my account on AngelNet only to discover that our order had shipped on Thursday! It is here! I spent a couple hours tonight getting it all sorted and will start making some deliveries tomorrow. (I cannot promise that they will all be delivered before Christmas, but I will do my best!)
Tuesday deliveries: Pam H. (C Cove), Denise O. (Temple), Shirley F (Temple)
Wednesday delivery: Pat W - late afternoon, after Dr. Appt.
This is all I know so far! Will get back to you soon. poki

SURPRISE BOX

poki and Heather A each ordered and received their SURPRISE BOXES! The supplies in the box are amazing! poki's had a DVD from Lucky Squirrel about Shrink plastic - we don't carry it anymore, but poki loves the product; there was even 3 packs of Shrink Plastic in there, along with lots of ribbons, ink pads and embellishments. Well worth the price! And Heather was one lucky girl, her box contained a Karen Foster Clickit! (Retail value $39.99 if you can find one!) poki had been looking for one for Heather, since KF has discontinued them, but had no luck finding one! Heather was pretty excited when poki called her about it. Her box also contained lots of ribbons, ink pads, and embellishments. We both feel LUCKY!

Congratulations to our November Mystery Hostesses!

Our order arrived today! It is sorted and ready to deliver, but with the Thanksgiving holiday this week (and Mike on vacation!) poki will not be heading out to deliver anything until next week. If you are in the neighborhood of Wendaful Scrapbooks on Saturday, November 24, poki will be at the store all day for the Holiday Open House - Make-n-Takes all day! I'll put all the deliveries in my car, and you can pick them up there if you are planning to come to Wenda's Open House! Texas Angel Gathering

I just returned from an incredibly busy "business trip" to the Texas Angel Gathering (TAG, for short) in San Antonio this past weekend. The event started at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening, and it was jam-packed full of incredible projects to see and do! For starters, we picked up the packs for 20 great projects to work on in whatever order we wanted to do them. Stephany H. and her team had everything waiting for us when we arrived. My table mates, Paula Kay B and Lyssa G, were able to complete the projects - poki got sidetracked after 16 of them, as she had a DEMO of the Mini Iron at 4:00 p.m. and wasn't able to get back to work on the 4 remaining projects before we left to head home on Saturday night. But Stephany was kind enough to provide us with a CD of project details, so I know that I can complete those remaining projects. There were demonstrations of the Zutter Binder, Crop-o-dile, Mini Iron (mine), coloring with different mediums including OMS (odorless mineral spirits) with Prismacolor pencils, and a Fantastic Flowers demo that takes silk flowers to a whole new height of fun embellishment! We did a recipe swap (can't wait to show you the beautiful book of recipe art I now have) and a PROP swap (hand made gift) I received a 3-D Christmas tree! If you know poki you know that is right "up my alley" - I love my "fancy folds!" I would post pictures, but don't want to spoil the surprise when I get to share these great ideas with all of you! See you in December for some great fun projects! (TECH SQUAD days are Monday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m. only, and Wednesday, December 12 at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. - you can RSVP now for your favorite time slot!)

This is the card which is our finished project for November TECH SQUAD. When I sat down to do the samples for the class, I had no idea which technique would inspire an idea for a card! The stamp set I used is "lusciousleaves" which is on the RETIREMENT LIST (only available until December 28, 2007). The leaves are colored with Chalk Pencils - Warm colors - then blended with Tombow blender (because I couldn't find the Dove blenders at the time - we are using Dove blenders in class!)

SURPRISE!

Everyone loves a SURPRISE, especially one that comes in a big BOX at this time of year. TAC wants to surprise you with a BOX of goodies (Retail value over $100) for the Special price of $50. TAC has collected products (non-stamps) from previous/current catalogues which won't be shown again - but are still GREAT products! I missed out on this SURPRISE last year, and was disappointed when I found out about all the great stuff in the box. I won't be disappointed again this year!

The word set is just too "practical" to pass up! At $29,95 that is quite a bargain!

Retiring Stamps

It's amazing - the retirement list has 152 stamp sets on it, out of 352 sets in the Fall & Winter catalogue! TAC must have so many great new sets that they just didn't have room for some great stamp sets like one of my old favorites - the poinsettia T-156 (you can tell by the number that it has been around awhile - we're now in 2700's). If you would like to see the retiring list before TECH SQUAD, e-mail me and I will send you the list!

I "allowed" myself ...

When my friend Freddie pointed out this stamp while we were visiting a store in Ft. Worth last July, I knew immediately that I had to have it. I've thought about the quote ever since, but had not used the stamp until I created this background with marbles for my monthly TECH SQUAD meeting last Wednesday! I knew that the marble painted background would be the perfect compliment for this quote. These cards (I have to make a few more!!) will be my submission to the eclectictARTs "I've been published" swap which we do every month. Paula Kay will be submitting them to a publication (don't know which one) for possible publication sometime next year!

Donations for Auction at Killeen Retired Teacher's Association

As many of you know, poki is a retired school teacher from Killeen (my youngest students that I taught my last year at Peebles are now in the 4th grade!) My faculty gave me my first year's membership in Killeen Retired Teacher's Association. That was the year that KRTA starting having an auction in the Fall to raise money for our book fund and scholarship fund. During the previous school year, we gave 3 college scholarships: two went to KISD paraprofessional employees who were continuing their education to become teachers, and the third to a young man in his second year at UT who had first received a scholarship the year before when he graduated from Ellison High School. We also donated about $2,000 worth of books to children in KISD who otherwise might not own a book! I feel like these are both worthy endeavors on the part of our organization, and I try to support them when I can. For 3 previous years, I have requested handmade cards from my friends - and they never let me down. I can tell you, there are many retired teachers in Killeen anxiously awaiting this year's batch of handmade cards from "poki & friends." Last year's cards raised approximately $110 for the fund (not bad since the auction only raised about $700. My friends Paula Kay and Debra have donated everytime I have asked - and I have received donations from them already this year. The auction is on November 12, so I have set a DEADLINE of October 31 for collections. If you would like to donate some handmade cards, any theme, please call poki or e-mail her (poki04@aol.com) I grouped cards by theme this morning and I already have 25 packets, thanks to Debra, Paula Kay, Heather, Cathie, and one other person whose name escapes me at the moment (she was in my class with Heather at I Scrapbook during August, and we talked about the auction, and she volunteered to donate cards - and left them for me in my class project drawer at I Scrapbook!) I will be making a book donation to the Peebles School library (where I taught) in honor of these good friends who have helped me once again with this project! Thanks to all of you, dear friends one and all!

Our "Mystery Hostesses" in October!

The Angel Company has been very generous with their hostess awards - DOUBLE - during October, and it has allowed me to be very generous with my customers as well! My mystery hostesses for Copperase Cove High School Crop on National Cardmaking Day are: Belinda P, Jody S., Kathy G., Angie B., and Heather A. Heather picked up her order, and got her reward last night. Other orders are scheduled for delivery on Tuesday, October 16 in Copperas Cove. My TECH SQUAD order has been posted to Angelnet (late last night) and I was able to reward 8 shoppers: Becky S., Pat W., Pat A., Karen B., Debra R., Julie Mac, Arlene D., and Heather A. Hopefully, that order will arrive early next week When order arrives I will deliver as quickly as possible. (I have a little more time next week - I overbooked myself this week, and I'm feeling the "crunch" but just a couple more days til NAP DAY on Monday!) Thanks for your business, ladies! Being an angel is just more fun!

A Great "National Card Making" Day in Copperas Cove

I was a vendor at a scrapbooking/cardmaking event at Copperas Cove High School on Saturday, Oct. 6 - had a great time! Met some wonderful new crafters, saw some old friends! (thanks to friends from Cove and Kempner who hosted and invited me - Kathy G, Lynn C, Mary S, Angie B), and won a RAFFLE prize for a item I actually didn't already have - an Ellison TAG-A-LONG! With the great DOUBLED HOSTESS AWARDS during October, I was able to share HOSTESS AWARDS with FIVE of my customers on Saturday! Congratulations to Heather A, Angie B, Jody S., Belinda P, and Kathy G! Your "Mystery Hostess" award will be included when I deliver your order to you - hopefully, no later than October 16 (I'm planning to be in Copperas Cove that day anyway - to meet with my friend Pam H to deliver her last order, and have lunch!) TAC has gotten pretty quick on turn around of orders! And our order has been placed! (Thank goodness for the INTERNET - it makes life interesting, especially when it works! smile!)

TECH SQUAD - October 10

I can't believe that it is almost time again for TECH SQUAD - what a busy month of September I had! Seems like I spent every day paper crafting! (life IS good!) Our projects for October 10 meeting are called "kissing" techniques - all will concern unusual ways of applying ink to paper! We will again do 5 sample cards, plus one completed project! October is absolutely STUFFED with specials that you will want to take advantage of - see previous posts from today! I hope we can take full advantage of them during the month of October. TECH SQUAD will follow the same schedule as the previous two months with meetings at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Don't forget to RSVP by Monday, October 8, so that I can be prepared for you! (If you think I already know you are coming, e-mail poki04@aol.com or call me anyway so I don't miss out on prepping for you!) Don't forget to bring your traveling box so we can add more cards to it!

How I spent my Saturday ...

I can't think of a better way to spend a day than paper-crafting with friends. And that is just what I did yesterday with a group of Angel friends at my manager, Paula Kay's house. There were 9 talented Angel demonstrators there, each completing (well almost completing!) 10 wonderful projects that had been planned by each of us for the Fall/Winter holiday season! One of our Angel friends was unable to attend due to illness, but she sent her project along, so we helped her out by completing what needed to be done to our own project so that she could do it at home later! What a day - we talked, we ate, but most of all we were inspired by the talent in each other! Personally, I know I learned lots of new things that I will be implementing in my own projects in the future, so my customers can look forward to that. There will be a display at my next TECH SQUAD meeting on October 10 of all these wonderful projects that we did! (Of course, there are a couple that need some finishing touches!) Can't wait to show you all the great stuff we did!

Another October Special

During the month of October, the angel company has gone CRAZY FOR COLOR with our new special on the Kaleidoscope kit! The kit includes our exclusive paper collections, Kaleidoscope Brites (Value $19.95), Kaleidoscope Girlz (Value $6.95) Kaleidoscope Boyz (Value $6.95) and a new Kaleidoscope words stamp set. TAC values the whole package at $44.00, but it can be yours to work COLOR MAGIC for only $35.95 only during the month of October 2007. If there is a kid in your life, or you're just a "kid at heart" this is a great kit for you! (The papers alone cost $33.85) What a great buy and a cool way to put COLOR in your life!

And the SPECIALS keep coming!

Beginning Sept 24 (I know that was last week) The Angel Company has a SPECIAL price on four of their Designer Collection paper pads. These are 8 x 8 pads, 36 sheets in 6 colors with the same 6 designs in each color. The pads are priced at 50% off their normal low price - they are now $3.50 (which turns out less than $0.10 per sheet). The collections on Special are
V-904 Fingerpaint
V-905 Country Cottage
V-906 Metropolis
V-907 Lap of Luxury
Check them out on page 36 of your catalogue. There is a sample of all 6 designs at the top of the page!

Another October special!

Here's a great bonus to the October "hostess" list - all hostess awards are doubled during the month of October! That means our "mystery hostesses" will receive more prizes! As always, you must make a $20 purchase to be eligible for "mystery hostess" status, but there will be MORE WINNERS! We should have two Level A winners, two Level B winners, and two half price items. (with a $200 combined order - which we usually do easily!) There, of course, will also be a "poki's choice" stamp set! Also, remember, with a $30 purchase you are eligible for a Gift With Purchase Stamp - these will also be doubled during October! All in all, October is a great month to REWARD YOURSELF! Don't forget to RSVP for TECH SQUAD meeting on October 10!

October is almost here!

It is hard to believe that September has passed us by, and we are abouit to embark on October! (tomorrow!) The Angel Company has a great plan for us during October. The FALL SUPPLEMENT has some great new stamp sets for Fall and the holidays. You can see the stamp sets, with some great samples, by visiting the webpage http://theangelcompany.net/ There is a list of links on the left, click on PROMOTIONS and then Fall Supplement, and go see some great new stamps! poki found 3 sets that she immediately put on her October order! And as always, you can click on the samples to see a larger version in another window. The picture I have included is page 14 of the suplement - it's on poki's personal list!
More SPECIALS TO COME - stay tuned!

Class - Oct 12, 5:30 p.m. Wendaful Scrapbooks in Temple

I know many of you have seen this Fall Banner in progress. I added some beads to the bottom to give it a little "weight" to hold it in place, and it is now ready to be delivered to Wendaful Scrapbooks in Temple where it will be a class project for Friday, October 12 at 5:30 p.m. Fee is $12. Call the store 254-899-2767 to sign up for the class! I purposefully left the back side uncovered until class day, so that participants can see what the back side looks like. Paper is decopaged to four square coasters. "F-A-L-L" letters are added to each coaster, along with a beautiful fall colored leaf and daisy! And it's all hung on some beautiful silk knitting ribbon! All that participants will provide for the project is redline tape or very strong adhesive to hold the cardstock back covers in place. Bring your scissors as well in order to "round the corners" of the paper after adhering it to the coaster. I haven't found any corner rounder with the same angle as the coaster, so we have to do it by hand
with scissors and then smooth the corners with emory board. I think it will make a neat home dec product for the Fall season (my favorite time of year - I really like October!)

I've unpacked - more info on CCHS Scrapbooking Event

I finally found the paper about the event at Copperas Cove High School where I will be an Angel Co vendor on Saturday, October 6. Here is everything I know:

Time - 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Where - CCHS Cafeteria (brand new this year)
Cost - $20 (includes lunch)
Contact - Amal@ccisd.com
Hosts - Project Graduation & DramaDawg Boosters
They have promised - Silent Auction, numerous door prizes, make & takes, art show, and numerous vendors on site. Hope to see you there!

A CROP IN COPPERAS COVE

I have been invited to be a vendor at a crop at Copperas Cove High School on Saturday, October 6. I have details for the event. If you are interested in getting tickets for the event, e-mail poki (poki04@aol.com) and I can send you the information about how to register for the event. (I have them - they are just still packed from my Retreat weekend!) The crop benefits Project Graduation for CCHS and the DramaDawgs (booster club)

HOTS Club Retreat was wonderful!

After may years of being totally immersed in the production of retreats for the Heart of Texas Scrapbook Club, it was great to be able to actually feel like a PARTICIPANT at this event! Of course, in my position as Historian, I had to take lots of photos of the event! But, other than photography, and helping Debra with the Art Show on Sunday morning, I was free to actually work on projects! I even took a class - first time ever - from a very talented designer from Austin. Her name is Jennifer Stewart. You may have come across her name in connection with Scrapbook Crossing in Round Rock (or is it Cedar Park?) or Crop, Paper, Scissors in Waco, as I know she teaches in both of those locations! I was pleased with the beautiful FALL photo display board we created, and have asked Mike to be sure we get a complete family portrait under the Chinese Tallow tree in Mom's yard at Thanksgiving time. (It actually should have some fall color - bright red - unless a windy November takes all the leaves away early!)
My digital scrapbooks got 20 or more new pages completed in them! I'm actually on Day 4 of the vacation (out of 14)

Order arrived!

Our order has arrived! With the HOTS Club Retreat weekend starting tomorrow, I won't be making an attempt to deliver until next week. Be looking for me, or at least your products (since I arranged to drop a couple off at your place of work!) I plan to work on my vacation album this weekend - I actually have pages and pictures printed through DAY 3 - in New York!

Order is due today

UPS should be stopping at my house this afternoon! I will do my best to get orders delivered before I got to the Retreat on the weekend. (It isn't out of town, but I will be busy all week). If I don't get your order to you by Friday - or I don't see you at the HOTS Club event, please know that I will attempt to deliver as soon as I wake up on Monday (I'm usually pretty tired coming home after a HOTS Club event!)
Just a little hint - you are really going to like the OCTOBER Mystery Hostess drawing - something SPECIAL will be happening. Can't wait to see you at TECH Club on October 10. poki

A Fantastic week of learning

It's hard to believe it is Friday, and the end of August. Shortly (in about an hour) it will be September! Amazing! I have spent a fantastic week of learning at my computer. While riding to and from San Antonio last week-end, I spent some time reading a Better Homes & Gardens Digital Scrapbooking magazine. When I bought the magazine (probably about the 10th one I own), I hoped that it would actually give me some hands-on things to try - most of the previous purchases were just beautiful samples of what could be done, but no real information about HOW to do it! But this one is different!!!! Most of the information in it applies to PhotoShop in many of it's incarnations (Elements, CS2, etc) but I have found that much of the information transfers to Paint Shop Pro which is the program I use on my desktop computer. (I have PhotoShop Elements on my notebook, but barely know anything about it! - that one is next). I also located some great TUTORIALS on line. If you are interested in learning more about digital scrapbooking, and would like the list of Tutorials, please e-mail poki, and I will be happy to share them with you. I have also been taking advantage of some digital freebies that are out there - it takes a while to download on my dial-up connection, but I have collected some useful background papers, and other embellishments. I haven't made much headway on a completed layout in Paint Shop Pro, but I have used some of the digital elements in a Word document, and actually have 20 pages of the vacation scrapbook done! And tonight I accomplished (with the help of an on-line tutorial) a goal I set for myself yesterday. I wanted to take a scanned image (a leaf punch) and make the background transparent, so I could layer it over a background paper, just like you would the paper version! - but no GLUE necessary! With a couple of do-overs I was able to actually accomplish that goal!!! I am so excited ... just had to share! Next time you see me, ask to see my New England scrapbook! I'm pretty proud of it! (although I am taking issue with something my printer is doing - but I think it's the paper, not the printer!)

Fun trip to San Antonio!

Mike and poki spent the weekend in San Antonio for the annual Dell Employee Appreciation event - at Fiesta Texas! - and although I enjoyed the amusement park, dinner on the RiverWalk TWICE was a much more pleasant experience. I got up early on Friday, and drove Mike to work (we were in Austin by 6:45 a.m. - yes, my alarm clock went off at 4:30 a.m.) I spent the day shopping, and trying to stay cool! (It was a HOT day on Friday) We drove to San Antonio after Mike got off at 3:30 - even with the TRAFFIC JAM in Austin, we were at the hotel by 6:15. Dinner was at Joe's Crab Shack - poki's favorite - followed by a stroll along the river, and back to the hotel. Of course, we had to stop off to talk to the horses who work the carriage ride trade! But it had to be a short night, since the day began at 4:30 a.m. Saturday we were at Fiesta Texas all day, but the weather wasn't too bad - survivable! Saw a couple of new rides - of course we had fun on the water rides, and bumper cars. And Mike even rode the carousel with me! (I rode a GIRAFFE! - I love carousels!) Dinner on Saturday night was at the Republic of Texas, with drinks at The Landing afterwards while we listened to the big band jazz - same band since 1963 (with the exception of a few new members!) We tried to go to the Brackenridge Park Japanese Gardens after breakfast on Sunday, but they were having a face-lift. Oh, well - we made a couple of shopping stops on the way home (one for poki - the Outlet Mall in San Marcos, the other for Mike - Fry's in Austin) and we arrived back home at 3:30 or so! I thought I'd go take a nap then - but instead I went right back to work on my digital scrapbook that I am doing for our New England trip - about 20 pages done (and that's just the FIRST DAY! - but it was BOSTON!!!)

Lots of butterflies!

On Tuesday morning after my water aerobics class, I took a drive out to my friends, Pam & Lloyd's house in San Saba County (to make an Angel delivery & visit). I was greeted with about 300 butterflies in their garden - mostly Queens, but this Monarch was magnificent, and the first of many pictures I took in the garden. Pam said her massive flower garden just comes back every year now, no planting necessary, and she didn't even have to water that much this summer because of all the rain! She is being rewarded for all her hard work in the past though!! Pam & I then took a drive down to Fredericksburg for lunch and a trip to a cute new scrapbook store on Main Street, called Journey Lane! (opened last November) Beautifully displayed in lots of antique containers, including a punch bowl and cups for some antique ribbons & laces in the punch bowl, and small embellishments in the punch cups! I was impressed with the space she had (classroom with seating for about 30, I suppose!), and her unique displays!

"Remember September" promotion from The Angel Company

Great news! The Angel Company has a "Remember September" promotion starting on Sept. 1 (just in time for our next TECH SQUAD Club meeting on Sept. 12 - don't forget to RSVP for the session of your choice!) The promotion highlights two of our new Soar With It Collections: Lilly Anna (pg 14) and Mimi (pg 11). Each promotional package is $24.95 and includes the following products: SWI paper collection ($6.95), matching cardstock ($6.50), ribbon ($4.95), hardware ($4.50) and a LIMITED EDITION stamp set - the Lilly girls and the Mimi girls. When TAC says LIMITED EDITION you can be sure that this is the ONLY TIME that they will offer this set. (Some of you may have seen the "girls" before - they were part of the Seminar Set given to all Angels who registered for our Seminar in June - and one of the Mimi girls is stamped on my pencil box that I had on the table at TECH SQUAD in August! Thanks to Paula Kay!)

It's here!

The order we placed last week is here! I have sorted and will begin delivery on Wednesday at tARTs supper (that's a stamping group that I belong to with several of the ladies who came to TECH SQUAD last week!) Collector's Club

For my regular customers, just wanted you to know that I am keeping a list of the products that you have ordered from me! If you are home, looking at your Angel catalogue, and making your "wish" list - and can't remember if you have purchased something before, just send me an e-mail and I will check your COLLECTOR'S CLUB list. I haven't printed the list since they change each time you make a purchase or win a PRIZE! I will print the list in December and include it with your December delivery, so you will know what you purchased during 2007! My files will be cumulative though (continuing into 2008), and hopefully we can avoid the mistake that so often happens "I already bought that stamp, and I bought it again!" (That is unfortunately how I get some of the poki's choice stamp sets - including the Salsa Flowers set that Freddie won in August!)

Thanks, everyone!

Thanks to all my good friends who attended my very first TECH SQUAD club meeting on Wednesday, August 8. We had a great time with our VersaMark techniques, did 5 technique cards for the file and a card with my favorite butterfly (T1014, flutterby, page 48) Samples on the blog will come later, when I have time to scan them and post them! Thanks to everyone who made purchases and made it possible for the "mystery hostesses" to get 5 prizes! I hope to continue have "mystery hostess" contests each time we meet!

I have been doing some "brainstorming" on ways to use my space more efficiently, and I think I have come up with a way to have more participants in each session! If you are interested in joining one of my sessions on September 12, please RSVP (poki04@aol.com) We will be having ADVENTURES WITH CRAYONS! Always remember your adhesive to post your samples to your technique directions! In September, a small DRY iron would help with two of the samples (There is a Heidi Swapp version in The Angel catalogue that would work beautifully!) If you can bring one with you, please do! Can't wait to see you!

I arrived home this afternoon to a copy of "JUST CARDS" Summer 2007 with my hatsoff card published (T-2387) It is my first published card - thanks to good friend and Angel manager Paula Kay who is the hostess for our "I've Been Published Swap" in our local stamp club called eclectictARTs. "Tech Squad"

I am starting a monthly group at my home to help us all organize a file of techniques with directions posted on them. I am the world's worst for doing something once, thinking "I'll remember that!" and finding I don't "remember that!" when I want to duplicate the technique! Hopefully this group will help me, and you too!

Each time we meet, poki will have prepared 4 or 5 technique cards. We will make samples of those techniques to fit 3 x 5 index card with directions on the back. We will also create a completed project using products from The Angel Company (with one of our techniques!) Purchasing products from The Angel Company is encouraged but not required!

Because of the size of my work space, I am hosting 3 sessions all on the same day! You can choose your session each month, or RSVP for the same time each month! Session times: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m., 1:00 - 3:30 p.m., 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Our first session will be on Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Please e-mail poki (poki04@aol.com) with your RSVP for the session of your choice!

TAC OPEN HOUSE JULY 11 - A GREAT SUCCESS!

Thanks to all my great friends who are also supportive customers! Our time at the Open House on July 11 was great fun!

I hope everyone enjoyed the time they spent at my house, and enjoyed the chance to play with "springdream" - the Level C hostess set that I had on the table. Mike helped me draw the winning ticket, after the last customer went home - and the winner is PAT A. from Salado! I will be calling you soon to discuss your prize! Stay tuned for more GIVE AWAYS in the future!

I talked about my "Tech Squad" yesterday with almost everyone I think. Details will follow in another post - keep checking back for them. I do know for sure that the first "Tech Squad" party will be on Wednesday, August 8 at poki's house. Stay tuned! More to come!!!

"Office on the Go"

My "Office on the Go" - a decorated DVD tin with a calendar and notepad inside - is one of the first projects I created after becoming an Angel (#3651) last February! I used one of my favorite paper collections - Rustic Chic - and added a Sizzix dragonfly on it! Kits available at poki04@aol.com

Butterflies are everywhere!

I am a "butterfly fanatic" - I photograph them everywhere I go! That's my way of "collecting!" (I'll post some of my "collection" later - )
I've been collecting butterfly stamps as well - over the last 4 + years I've collected almost every butterfly that TAC has ever made - I was so pleased that my favorite butterfly set - flutterby (T-1014, $10.95, pg 48 in 2007-08 catalogue) - is still in The Angel Company catalogue! I have used it so many times! And will continue to stamp with this Monarch-style butterfly!

Another PROJECT

and thus another PROJECT begins!
